In the Theater of God: 5 Years in the Making

Hi Friends. Welcome to my new blog! John Calvin saw the world as a theater in which Christ Jesus is on center stage. The whole world exists to display his supremacy and infinite worth. The purpose of this blog is to put on full display the beauty of Christ Jesus. I intend to share with you observations I've had over the past several years in this grand theater. I plan to share observations from Jonathan Edwards sermons; particularly his dissertation concerning the end for which God created the world. Edwards says the purpose was to bring glory to himself. The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy him forever. But what is the chief end of God? I think God's chief purpose it is to glorify himself and enjoy himself forever. My key text is Psalms 19. David says, "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the end of the world". Won't you take a ticket at the door and join with me in observing the exceedingly wonderous works of god?
